February Notes

• Winter Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for February 12.  Student dismissal is at 11:35 and Parent Teacher conferences will be held from 12:30-3:00 PM.  Your child's teacher will send home a request for conferences if they need a conference.

• It is great to have so many (over 100) third and fourth grade students taking advantage of our after school ISAT prep classes.  Classes run through the end of February on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 
  

• You can sign up to go green! We will email all parent communication home to conserve paper and protect the environment.

• Student in grades 3 and 4 will be taking the state wide ISAT tests from March 3-9. Pease be sure that your child is well rested and has a good breakfast each day of testing. Encourage them to do their best.

• Math Facts in a Flash- We have implemented our Math Facts in a Flash web-based program. Students may practice on your home computers. You should have the log in and password for your child. We have asked the students/teachers in grades 3 & 4 to write the log in/password in their assignment notebooks. Please let your child's teacher know if you need to have the password and log in sent home.

• Pick-up and drop-off- Please do not leave your car in our pick up/drop-off lane. If you need to leave your vehicle, please park in our parking lot. We will be reporting to our local police department license numbers of cars parked in our stop/drop lane.

• We appreciate the support you give our school throughout the year!

Learning is our priority!  We ask that you provide opportunities for your children to extend their education and to practice their academic skills during the non school hours.  Research indicates that students who are provided learning experiences at home benefit and maintain/increase their level of achievement.  Thank you for all your support and cooperation.
